We believe that change begins with knowledge. We are more than happy to help provide industry leading information and advice to consumers about different lighting technologies to help people make smart decisions. We want people to understand that our lighting group is different, and that we constantly strive to use cutting edge ultra-efficient technology. Aluminum
Many LimeLumi LED lights have an amazing recyclable quality that offers a sustainable alternative to continually throwing dead light bulbs into our landfills. With aluminum based LED lighting, after 7-14 years (depending on your hours of use) you can literally add new LEDz and reuse the same light!
Imagine a light that keeps working for years, is energy efficient and recyclable! You no longer have to imagine: because the technology is here and here to stay.
I thought compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) were eco friendly? What are you going to do with that CFL when it burns out? CFLs are steel, plastic, glass and mercury. They are treated as a Haz Mat.
Our lights don’t use ballasts which produce CO2 and make that horrible buzzing sound. He worst thing about ballasts is you have to throw them in a landfill every three years. Our lights run for decades without so much as going near a trashcan.
When we do an installation, we take all measures to ensure the outdated products we remove from the clients buildings are recycled. Our installers take the products to recycling companies and the proceeds are donated to various charities. When we can, we actually reuse the existing fixture to help eliminate waste from entering landfills.

Recycled Content, 20% (post-consumer + ½ pre-consumer) (1 point) “Use materials with recycled content such that the sum of post-consumer recycled content plus one-half of the pre-consumer content constitutes an additional 10% (total 20%)” This is just one example of how our solutions help your building go LEED Platinum! High Recycled Content
Aluminum products typically have a high recycled content, in some cases as high as 100%. Long Life Cycle Rustproof and durable, aluminum can far outlast carbon steel and is ideal for challenging outdoor environments. Aluminum’s long life cycle benefits the environment as new material and energy resources will be needed far less often to replace corroded or failed products.
100% Recyclability
The aluminum recycling infrastructure is extremely well-established. All aluminum products and components are fully recyclable and the value of aluminum scrap makes it extremely unlikely that aluminum will ever wind up in a landfill.
Low Maintenance
Because they don’t rust like carbon steel, aluminum products don’t require periodic scraping and recoating. Surfaces can usually be cleaned with mild detergents and a simple water rinse. Solvents, acids, bleaches, abrasives and other harsh chemicals that could harm the environment are not required.
No Corrosion Loss
The metal loss that occurs when conventional carbon steel rusts can add potentially toxic elements to the environment and the lost metal can never be recycled. Aluminum’s corrosion losses are negligible and 100% of the original material will be available for eventual recycling.
Light Weight
Aluminum products tend to be lighter in weight than those made from other materials. Energy use and other impacts associated with transport and installation can often be lowered when aluminum products are specified.
